CLOSING CEREMONY OF KOREAN IT CLASS 2015
The closing ceremony of the Korean IT class 2015 was celebrated on August 14, 2015 in Bac Lieu University (BLU). The ceremony delightedly had the presence of:
- Dr. Tran Manh Hung - Vice Rector,
- Ms. To Viet Thu - Chief of International Cooperation Department,
- Ms. Trieu Yen Yen – Vice Dean of IT Faculty,
- Korean IT Volunteers from National Information Society Agency (NIA) of Korea,
- Representatives of Bac Lieu Television Broadcasting Station, Bac Lieu Newspaper,
- Officers from International Cooperation Department, teachers and students from IT Faculty.
Delivering the overview of the class, Ms. Trieu Yen Yen - Vice Dean of IT Faculty acknowledged the excellent contribution of the Korean volunteers and the efforts of the students during the course. With their one-month training, BLU’s students were provided with useful and practical knowledge of Photoshop and Java Programming that can help a lot for their occupation later.
Lim Min Hyeok - on behalf of Korean volunteers and Quach Thanh Nguyen - a representative of students sent the gratitude to the Rector Board, officers and teachers of BLU for giving the deep care and the most favorable conditions during the course as well as express their unforgettable and profound impression of people’s hospitality and friendliness through extracurricular activities and city trips.
Dr. Tran Manh Hung - Vice Rector highly appreciated the support and cooperation of NIA as well as the enthusiastically working spirit of volunteers so far. He believed that the volunteers played the roles of not only volunteers to support IT knowledge but also ambassadors of their nation with the message of cooperation - development of the modern Information Technology globalization. Actually the Korean volunteers have brought new fresh air and aspirations of IT passion and enthusiasm of the youth. He hoped that there will be further cooperation in the coming time.
After the course, 28 students were granted the certificates for their good completion. Beside IT knowledge, the students had good opportunities to understand more about Korea nation and people through extracurricular activities such as Korean traditional games, Korean music and cooking Vietnamese and Korean food. This course left beautiful memories and unforgettable impression in the students and volunteers’ minds. Hopefully this course will help to increase exchanging activities and understanding among Vietnamese and South Korean people in the coming time.
BLU had some souvenirs for the Korean volunteers to recognize their remarkable contribution and mark the unforgettable memories during their working time in Bac Lieu.
It is one of the most significant programs which has been providing a lot of benefits for IT students as well as contributing to tighten the relationship between BLU and NIA in particular and the relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general.
