Bac Lieu University participated in the final round of the Student Startup Ideas Competition - INNOBE 2023 and launched the Center (HUB) for Student Innovation Village (SIV) in the Mekong Delta region

On November 14th, 2023, the Student Startup Support Network in the Mekong Delta region organized the Final Round of the Startup Competition "Student Startup Ideas in the Mekong Delta - INNOBE 2023" and a Workshop on connecting the innovation startup ecosystem and launched the center (HUB)  for  Student Innovative Village (SIV) in the Mekong Delta region.

The program took place at Tra Vinh University with more than 400 delegates from 30 universities and colleges, along with high schools in the Mekong Delta participated.

With the idea of "Model for building BA THAC salt field tourist area in Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province" performed by the group of students Tran Quoc Duy, Tran Thi Minh Tran, Duong Thi Hue of Economics Faculty, they have excellently passed 64 ideas came from 26 Colleges and Universities in the region to enter the final round of the competition.

At the competition, the above-mentioned competitors presented their ideas directly to the jury and surpassed the remaining ideas to enter the competition’s top 10 best ideas. Also, Mr. Nguyen Hoan Em - Deputy Secretary of the BLU’s Youth Union, officer in charge of start up - innovation at BLU participated in establishing and launching the center (HUB) for Student Innovative Village in the Mekong Delta region as Co-Head of HUB.

The program also organized a workshop to connect innovative startup ecosystems so as to connect managers, researchers, experts, investment fund corporations, startup support organizations and other organizations and individuals with expertise in many fields and experience in entrepreneurship and innovation with students who are passionate and have a desire to start a business.

At the program, the Student Start-up Support Network in the Mekong Delta region issued the Decision and admitted 9 new members. It has brought the total up to 28 members (including 3 start-up promoting and supporting organizations, 11 universities, 13 colleges and 1 intermediate school).

It can be said that the INNOBE 2023 Competition aims to create conditions to help students apply their knowledge into practice, directs them to meaningful activities such as learning about business and gaining the opportunity to experience reality to summarize their experience, business knowledge, building ideas and finding their own career path in the future. At the same time, it is also a "playground" to connect experts, investors and startup ecosystems in localities as well as create opportunities to support students who are passionate about starting a business.
