On the afternoon of March 26, 2024, at the Hall of the Information - Library Center, the leaders of Bac Lieu University and Haicorp Corporation (Haicorp) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in: Training, fostering, training short-term classes on professional skills, soft skills, extracurricular activities, internships, practical activities; Scientific research and technology transfer; Organizing events, seminars, roundtables, conferences; Startups, job introduction; Other cooperative activities, phase 2023-2028.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Phan Van Dan - President of Bac Lieu University introduced an overview of the school. At the same time, the BLU's President stated that the school will discuss, research, select the best cooperation directions and enhance information exchange between the two units. Thereby, laying the foundation to build specific plans for the coordination between the two units in the future. With the principle depending on capabilities, conditions, resources and needs to jointly implement the agreed contents. Ensuring compliance with the general regulations of the law; according to the regulations of Bac Lieu University and Haicorp Corporation.
Based on the contributions, discussions of the leadership representatives of the two units and the delegates attending, Dr. Phan Van Dan - President of Bac Lieu University and Mr. Phan Van Hai - General Director of Haicorp Corporation proceeded to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with specific contents, such as:
1. Regarding training, fostering, training.
- Coordinating to open short-term training classes with certificates in professional fisheries, environment, etc.
- Coordinating training in soft skills, job-seeking skills for students.
2. Regarding startups, job introduction
- Supporting ideas, startup models, career establishment of students; connect students with startup ideas, models with businesses, entrepreneurs, and state management agencies.
- Haicorp may recruit, introduce job opportunities after graduation and hire students for part-time work.
3. Regarding extracurricular activities, internships, practical experiences
- Coordinating, supporting students in carrying out extracurricular activities, internships, practical experiences.
- Extracurricular activities for students are flexible according to the required purposes and conditions agreed upon between the Parties.
- Practical experiences, internships according to the training program framework for students of each major.
4. Regarding event organization, workshops, conferences
- Organizing conferences, workshops on environmental issues, technology.
- Coordinating, supporting in organizing important events with large scale.
5. Regarding scientific research and technology transfer
- Participating, coordinating in scientific research, technology transfer and joint publications.
- Party B coordinates, facilitates the participation of Party A's lecturers in implementing projects related to Party B's field of organization.
- Party A supports Party B in utilizing Party A's laboratories for projects within the permitted framework and current regulations.
6. Regarding other cooperative activities
- Party B may consider sponsoring scholarships, sponsoring annual student support programs.
- The Parties will exchange and agree on the implementation of other cooperative activities according to the needs and practical capabilities of both Parties.
The signing ceremony is an occasion to bond, share, support and collaborate in developing activities within the responsibilities of both units, aiming to enhance the quality of education, focus on practical training, meet social needs, contribute to socio-economic development and meet the development requirements of the locality in the context of integration. At the same time, establishing and developing long-term, comprehensive, sustainable cooperative relationships based on leveraging strengths, and effectively exploiting the potential of each unit.
