On December 27th, 2023, Bac Lieu University was honored to welcome a delegation from the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to visit, exchange and work at Bac Lieu University (BLU).

-Ms. Do Thi Thuy An – Assistant, interpreter
On the side of Bac Lieu University, there were
- Dr. Ngo Duc Luu - Chairman of the School Council;
- Dr. Tien Hai Ly - Vice President;
- The representative leaders of Educational, Agricultural, Information Technology, Economics Faculties, Departments of Scientific Management - International Cooperation, Training and Administrative and Personnel.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Tien Hai Ly - Vice president expressed his honor and joy as welcoming Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi and the delegation visited and worked at BLU.
The Vice president shared that "Since its establishment, the School has implemented many international cooperation programs, including Indian ones. Since 2014, the University has had many activities connected with the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Then it was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the ITEC scholarship program of the Indian Government, BLU sent more than 30 lecturers to register for short-term training courses in India and ended successfully. In 2020, the ITEC India Program organized a meeting for candidates who participated in the training course under the ITEC India program at Can Tho University. In 2020, Bac Lieu University also welcomed Mr. Sethi to visit the school on the occasion of a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee. In addition, the school also actively introduces scholarships from the Indian government to staff, teachers and students throughout the school to register and apply.”
The University hopes that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to promote past successes and hope that the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will cooperate and support the University through educational exchange programs.

Also at the meeting, Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consulate General of India thanked the leaders of Bac Lieu University for the warm welcome. Consul General Madan Mohan Sethi said that in the coming time, he will introduce and act as a connector for Bac Lieu University to cooperate and connect with universities in India in the field of education such as information technology, science and technology, student and lecturer exchange; Visit India Corner and discuss guidelines for developing cooperation.
This is an important signal in strengthening the relationship between the two countries, as well as promoting educational partnerships and cultural exchanges. Here, the two sides exchanged information related to the field of education between Bac Lieu University and India to promote and strengthen the ability to cooperate with each other, thereby further improving the quality of training. human resources for Vietnam in general and Bac Lieu province in particular, and at the same time help students and school staff gain more knowledge about the economy, culture and society of India.
The meeting opened up more opportunities for future extensive cooperation between the two sides, contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between the two countries through educational activities.
