On the afternoon of November 10th, 2023, at the Hall of Information and Library Center, Bac Lieu University organized an educational seminar and welcomed educational experts from Sheffield Hallam University, England and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.
Seminar with the topic "The Role of Assessment in Pedagogies for Language Learning and Autonomy in the Post Pandemic World”.
Attending the conference, there were
- Dr. Christine O'Leary - Educational expert at Sheffield Hallam University, England;
- Dr. Dang Tan Tin - Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, HCM City University of Technical Education;
- Dr. Tien Hai Ly - Vice Rector of Bac Lieu University;
- Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Xuan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education;
- English teachers at colleges and high schools in Bac Lieu province;
- Representatives of the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation, the Center for Informatics and Foreign Languages, lecturers in the Foreign Language Department of the Faculty of Education, English specialized teaching lecturers of Faculties of Bac Lieu University.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Dr. Tien Hai Ly - Vice president of Bac Lieu University was very pleased to welcome experts from universities who took advantage of their time to attend the conference and share experiences.
Dr. Tien Hai Ly said that "Bac Lieu University is a public university whose scale is not large, but with the spirit of hard working and learning, the school has had teaching methods and basic training programs that meet the required standards of the Ministry of Education".
Bac Lieu University today is very honored to welcome Dr. Christine O'Leary, an expert from England, shares valuable experiences for school lecturers and teachers in Bac Lieu province to study. At the same time, we hope that, through today's seminar, not only the school lecturers but also the teachers of public schools in Bac Lieu province will change their perception as well as have a newer direction in teaching methods. The Vice president hopes that the participants will actively study and exchange with experts to bring a truly impressive and effective seminar.
At the conference, educational experts discussed and shared together their experiences in enhancing the power of learning activities in language education.
After more than 3 hours of working, the workshop finished successfully. This is a program organized to improve the capacity of English teaching staff at Bac Lieu University and colleges and high schools in Bac Lieu province, contributing to improve General quality training of schools in the National Foreign Language Project.
Thereby, to improve and expand the school's foreign cooperation and introduce the unique and typical cultural features of Bac Lieu to foreigners when coming to work and visit Bac Lieu province.
The activity contributes to a positive impact, bringing many effective solutions to continue developing the potential of the teaching staff, improving content, teaching and learning methods, contributing to improving the quality of foreign language major training at the Bac Lieu University.
